Sisters crying in the kitchen/lobby
by highdose inyears ago i was at the revamp of a kingdom hall.
one of the sisters told me that since they got rid of the kitchen it was so much better, becuase there were always sisters out there crying!
and now they have no place to go, so they just have to stay in the hall and listen to the meeting!.

I was one who cried a lot towards the end of my attending meetings. When I say a LOT I mean it. I was having severe panic attacks and was being emotionally abused by my clinically depressed husband at that time. Just trying to stay in the building took every ounce of strength I had. I was most definitely not seeking attention, that was the last thing on my mind.
No one even asked if I was alright, ever. No one ever offered a hug or a drink of water or even a damn kleenex. That's why I stopped going, it was just too much to handle. The fewer meetings I attended, the better I felt.
I almost never get panic attacks since I stopped attending.

Can I interest you in a room temperature "soda"
by Lemon_Lime_Shasta inlong time lurker (like half a decade), first time poster.
it took a post about assembly food to get me to register here.
i think we need to start a project to piece together the menu from an early nineties circuit assembly...would be strangely nostalgic.. i got myself a "worldly" education and took that opportunity to leave "the troof".

I anm in much the same position.
Lack of love is the outstanding feature of the Witnesses I know.

YES!!
They ignored my parents when they were elderly and in poor health, even though my parent's house was less than a two minute drive from the Kingdom Hall.
They ignored my family when we had severe health problems and our children had severe depressions.
They ignored me when I started missing meetings and finally just gave up.
They ignore our door when they are out in service.
They ignored our family when my mother, a dedicated believing JW died this past July. We recieved no phone calls, no visits and only one card from an elderly sister who was friends with my Mom. This despite the fact that my husband is still an active Witness. No Witnesses outside of our family came to the funeral home.
There's a lot more but this is an overview of how it is for us.

Meh, it's sordid, but it really is no one's business except for the people involved.
I think he handled the situation well , but he would have been smarter to not play with the underlings at work in the first place.
